Save Her

Folder:
my poems

she sits alone

she acts the way they want

they are trying to help her

they don’t see that they can’t

they don’t get that if they send her back she’ll die

if they let her go back home they’ll wish they didn’t

later they’ll see the pain

later they’ll see what they did

they shouldn’t have sent her home

they killed her

how could they let her down like that

why couldn’t they see the signs

she lied to their faces and they couldn’t tell

she sat there and wouldn’t budge

she wanted to cut everyday she was in the hospital

she never told an adult

friends and adults say than when she gets an urge

she should tell someone so they can help her through it

but she doesn’t

she sits alone and slowly fades away

if they only knew the pain she’s been through

if they only saw that she wasn’t ready

if they only listened or watched

they would see how she acts around her mom

they would have known not to send her home

they killed her

and they didn’t even realize it
