I sit here in my lonely bed
Thinking back to a past life
My pillow now home to only one head
I sit here, wondering at my strife
I remember it now
Her flawless, straw blonde hair
And I do remember how
She'd stare at me, her face so fair
I look back at yesterday
At how we did part
And come whatever may
She will always have my heart
I remember halcyon days
With such beauty
Did her head lay
And oh I miss them greatly
I remember a July
That stretched forever
Like the endless sky
And worry did I never
I remember suns and moons
I hearken to her kindness
In that lovely June
And for nothing would my mood depress
My heart rent into shards
As I stare
At my final reward
My pillow lies bare
For I was a fool
And I let her leave
Yes I was a fool
And away she did flee
