you put your hand on mine

tell me I am beautiful

you look into my eyes

but I don't believe you.



you say you want to spend time

you will be around

my eyes fall to the ground

because I don't believe you.



you wrap your arms around me

tell me how good it feels

there they are again

those big red flags

saying don't believe you.



you calm the voices in my head

tell me you are here to stay

but the commitee of my thoughts

say don't believe you.



you say you know me

we are the same

we both lived a life of pain

I still feel all alone

so I won't believe you.



you say 'you can trust me'

'I will not lie to you'

but the past keeps haunting me

and I cannot believe in you.
