All I wanted was to have you near,
But doing so has only made things more unclear.
The love we share is written in our skin,
This constant confusion has worn me thin.
Affection running deeper than the heart,
So why does it feel like its tearing us apart?
Each night you lay in my embrace,
I know its only a short time before you leave this place.
Before only words of flirtations were given,
Something to build excitement in this world we live in.
Now things have become real, yet remain a lie,
For we still havnt decided to give this a real try.
Ill always be near but keep my heart in the distance,
Far enough from the hurt but close enough for you to know its existence.
