A Prayer for Nirvana

No moon, in sight, tonight, an eclipse

The dancer searches God, she is in bliss

Lovers creep on her body and along

God seeks refuge in her cleavage

And reveres her salient song.

She invites all, to taste her honeycombs

Bees fly; desire to die in hearth open

Keen to transcend, the drab dances on and on

But God offers no nirvana, when the end falls.

The girl undresses, takes a dip holy

To cleanse seeming sins, in her soul

To wash clay, on her unclothed skin

She adorns the plate with offerings

She prays humble, for God to please.

God smiles; these mean no bearing

I reside in dance, love and dreams

Why do you seek liberation?

From splendor, and from my glory.
