And then walk away

I don’t need the tears

Or the wishing you’d stay.



I deserve so much better

Then a simple goodbye

If that’s all that you’re planning

Don’t bother to try.



If you can’t last longer

And make it sincere

Then I don’t need your number

To add to my fear.



I may end up lonely

But don’t make it for you

The pain would be better

Then what you’ll put me through.



Don’t make me love you

If you’re bound to cause pain

If that’s all that you’re good for

Alone I’ll remain.
