Tell me why everything must be so hard

Make me understand

These memories will stay beneath washing over

Where they are buried dead

Along with all the hatred

And words still in my head

Taking over me

Leaving me to sit here

On the shore looking

So sad.



You let the pain surround me

When you simply said goodbye

To resurrect this, to learn to let it go

You said to me one day

Let your feelings show

I will never even try

The coldness doesn’t work

But lying here alone

I look but you’re not found

How can you say anything at all.



Just look onto tomorrow

Forget I was ever there

Can’t let you reach if you’re not around

To listen to my cries

Out of the loop

No longer candy for your eyes

When you’re alone

And nothing is right

Will you regret it

Or me

You know you do not have a prayer
