It happened once again

another lie slipped form my tougne

I never knew how bad I'd feel

until I learned you loved someone.

I said I really didn't care

I just wanted you happy

but did not think of how i'd feel

did not see what this meant to me.

I told you to move forward

to find the love that's there

now i'm standing on the sidelines

and you don't have no time to spare.

I know i'll find somebody else

just like I always do

just want to say i'm sorry

that I ever lied to you.
