Part 1: Righteous Blindness

Closing my eyes blinking slowly
pulling back tears
willing them not to emerge
to admit defeat in acceptence
to mourn a fatal loss
though you stand near me.
Your hand on my shoulder
yet your still on the ground
I have found my torture
though you do slip away.

An instant disasterous
a broken concentration
my conscence unsettled
for a death not of me.
A loss of a soul
swept to blackness
consciousness does dim
light dies, fades as you do now.

Vivid ignorance misleads
as I look through these closed eyes
enraptured by this haze
as emotions subside.
Dust covers your face
sand runs from your fingers
drifts away with the wind
brushes the flames that frame my face
instantly blinding
your final revenge.
