For you i've crossed my boundary lines

my ethics all I broke

and in the end i'd lost myself

i'd lost my sense of hope.



For you i've made many mistakes

and hurt the ones I loved

and when you left it was too late

far worse then i'd thought of.



For you I let myself be blind

to the insults that you threw

I cared so much, you not at all

corrupting my mind too.



For you I let my heart be burned

I felt myself crash to the floor

all along not realizing

that I was needing so much more.



For you I forgot who I was

and what being me means

finally see after so long

on you I will not lean.
