I could say yhat I don't love you

though I'd be lying through my teeth

smile and say your my best friend

while my heart pounds underneath.



I could sit alone and write these poems

till the sun rises again

convince myself that in this world

there are many better men.



I could sit right here and hide the tears

I cry while you don't see

that happiness and pure, true love

is all I wan't for me.



I could tell you that I need to leave

would you be deaf to even that

you do not see how much i'd love you

and I refuse to face those facts.



I could say that I don't love you

the concept brings me to my knees

so I guess that all i'm asking

is just don't break this torn heart please.
