Face in the mirror
Truth becoming clearer
The face in the mirror looks at me
Beneath the surface it can see
Laughing when i fall
Looking down making me feel small
Swallow my pride
The face looks inside
It forces the fear of an afterthought
Remembering all that i am not
The ink is dry
The blank piece of paper a lie
A dream not written yet
Sleeping to forget
Get out alive
Wake up and drive
This train stuck in reverse
A sea of tangled webs spread like a curse
No reason or plan
Day to day because i can
The floor beneath frail
Energy lost becoming stale
The face in the mirror is an altered reflection
Shattered and dispersed in every direction
