Internal disaster
The light fades faster
Thoughts uncovered bury the seed
Forgotten where the road will lead
I can receive but not transmit
Pieces of the puzzle that will never fit
Shake the bottle and cloud the eruption
Scattered under hands of corruption
A flicker of light in the darkest hour
Into the fray a storm ahead
Fear like a virus begins to spread
The gravity of pain inside and out
While the voices inside scream and shout
Ignore the signs up to the end
In this dream of pretend
Face this truth written on the walls
Denying lies that echo through these walls
Another day just prolonging defeat
Another road moves beneath my feet
As it begins to rain
In darkness only pain
