I don’t want to carry you; I want to be the one who waits with you
I don’t want to be more than you; I want to be your equal
I don’t want to run the show; I want to shine your light
When you smile I want to be the laughter
When you cry I want to be the peace you find
When you are lost I want to be your beacon
When you are overwhelmed I want to be the sounding board
When you are down I want to be the sky so you’ll look up
When the clouds roll in I want to be your rain
