Deaf Vision

Folder:
Book I: Part III

The vision of the deaf

As a whisper breaks my skin,

I take in so much

But I am empty within.

The sunshine brings down darkness

And in comes the June snow,

The sky frowns down upon us

Because it has nowhere to go.

My eyes hear all evil

And my heart sees the pain,

Now the clouds give me light

As the sun begins to rain.

The intake of the flowers

And the smiling makes me sick,

The butterfly just walks on by

Trying to heal illness quick.

Everything that is upside down

Truly is up side up,

Understand when your heart speaks

And see with eyes wide shut.

When you read don’t read the words

But see them in the dark,

A vision of what the senses say

May bandage a broken heart.
