Taught to feel until you're all grown up

Until the disease starts to leak through but no one knows what's wrong with you
Invisible wounds cocooned in bacteria
Just let it spill through opened veins - the innocents are liars just the same
Conditioned to be and then left to destroy themselves
With the scheming of an innocent child
You wrap yourself in ignorance
Play by their rules, used as their tool
Until that infection spills out and it all crashes down
The aching is an unbearable burn, but still so much to learn
