During relationship From the very beginning
I could paint these beautiful pictures
My blue paintings.
That’s the only color
I’ve ever been able to use.
They are lovely though
All the different tones and shades.
Even when it looks like
another color,
look close
and you will still see
the blue shading.
Blue is all I know.
Tonight however,
and lately
since my heart has
fallen into your hands
I find weird things
which I can only call
new colors
laying themselves
on my canvas
and spinning
from my brushes.
Black,
Orange,
Green,
and last night
I swear I saw
pink.
Whatever have you done?
Why did you bring
these colors forth?
What shall become of my paintings?
One thing is for sure.
Now that you have
shown them to me
You had better not
take them away
Or I shall be forced
to find
even deeper shades of
blue.
