The other night I tried to create a poem.

For you.

About you.

About how your eyes twinkle

24/7...

How you get to me

like no one has in awhile...

How you speak to me in that way

which makes me hope you never

talk to me in any other manner.

A poem that you could take home

and hold in your hands.

And know

That there were no stars,

no moon,

or sun,

garden,

or even roses

at that moment it was you.

You were the only thing on my mind.



But I couldn't.

I hope you aren't too disappointed.

This rambling is all I could compose.

I only hope it is enough

to hold you

and let you know

how much you mean to me

Until I am able to find the words

to say

that which I have not

yet been able to.
