untitled1

What a risk the boy took

to give the girl a rose

The boy picked the red rose

from his grandmothers garden

walked to the girls house,

knocked on the door

and asked the tall woman

if whitney was home

while he waited for his crush

to come to the door

He wondered what she'll do

When she recived his rose:

Would she hug him with a smile

Or just toss it aside

Maybe have it in her room

To hold when she's alone

She could smile and turn away

So she can think about it a while

When he saw his crush

He reached out with his rose

That moment was hopeful and true

and became all that mattered to him
