THE REAL STORY ABOUT JACK & JILL
Jack and Jill went up the hill, not to fetch a pail of water, because water is more likely to be at the bottom of a hill, remember water flows from the hills to the plains. Jack couldn’t fall down and break his crown because if Jack is falling down a hill, his head is the lightest part of his body and it wouldn’t come down first. More likely he hit some part of is body but that is another story.
Jack and Jill were running away from an alligator and that is how Jill came tumbling after because Jack ran faster then Jill. So the nursery rhyme should read:
Jack and Jill went up a hill
Not to fetch a pail of water
Folks believed this old pill
Just to tease an old alligator
In the mud Jack fell down
He did not make a sound
Then Jill came tumbling after
Both escaped from the alligator
