The Puppet Masters

The Puppet Masters

Read this at your own peril

Don?t expect to have your fill

Of virtue and charity

As I thrust and parry

Once when the US didn?t like your story

They sent in the CIA and you?re history

I sometimes wonder if war

Is not a necessity so far

We are growing at such a high rate

Some of the weight has to dissipate

But maybe some pray for wars

To heal their commercial scars

What would happen if we put a stop

Called a war and no one showed up

A lot of ammo in warehouses would sit idle

The gunsmiths would go loco as they twiddle

So we need wars to lessen the population

We?re so overcrowded in many a nation

What I can?t understand

In every man?s land

Why wait and take a fire stick in the night

To see what?s happening in broad daylight

The signs are always written

From Kossovo to Britain

As they preach from their pulpits

Some say nothing but tit-bits

Yet we wait as destruction comes

Then we pretend to be chums

We get on our very high horse

And ride into oblivion of course

Or until we?re threatened again

Then for sure we?ll go insane

The world can save itself a lot of grief

If we take just a strainer or a sieve

And shake out the big bad apples as we sift

Send them canoeing over Niagara Falls to drift

Or simply let the bloody natives kill

Themselves until our blood run chill

Then we go and rebuild with our green backs

And wait, then pull the strings for other attacks

What would?ve happened if the UN in time

Went in after the live he-devils of crime

They would have saved us from a lot of sin

By Taking out Hitler, Saddam or Idi Amin.
