My father's agenda
My father has this big leather agenda; he uses it to organize his appointments, his issues, his events and his work he has to do at his job. This agenda is legendary, he has it since a long time ago, and I think he had it before I was born. He has lost it and found it, left in a place and recovered it, borrowed it and had it back, etc. Years have been passing and he still carries it everywhere. He uses to keep things inside the agenda because it has a zipper so it has a lot of stuff inside, so it is pretty heavy. It is dark color brown from the outside and from the inside. I think that agenda demonstrates how organized my father has always been. He writes every single thing he needs to do and he is always checking if he has to do something. Nowadays the new technology like iPhones, iPads and computers can be used to carry an agenda on them, but my father even if he has does things he prefers to use his old and big leather agenda. Every time it gets full, I don’t know how but he gets it renewed with new pages for the next year, it is just like an infinite agenda. He uses to keep and save in boxes old pages from the agenda and over the years he trashes the pages that are not relevant or important nowadays, and it is almost everything. Recently when he was checking the boxes with the old pages we found out some old stuff he wrote when I was going to be born, and also about when my sister was going to be born, like what to buy, which names we were going to have, information about our birthdays, etc. We also find out some drawings I made when I was approximately four years old and my father borrowed me his agenda, and they are very funny drawings. I think this is one of my father’s most important and favorite possessions, because he has other important possessions, he always gets frustrated when he cannot find it so that demonstrates he has a lot of interest on it. I have learned from that agenda that for my father it is very important to be organized and that’s what it inspired me to be always organized with my stuff too.
