Losing hope

Another cold lonely night,

Silent with my eyes closed,

Watching the thoughts fly by.

As if it wasn’t hard enough,

Now alone with me is just an empty space,

I whisper to it softly but hear no tangible reply.

Another lonely walk,

Chilling thoughts flooding my mind,

And then the clouds come hide my sky.

I say let the thunder come,

Let it beat me to the ground,

Maybe then this hollow sense may die.

I don’t desire much,

In this egocentric world,

I just need gladness to fill my time.

So will the sun stay low,

With all the months to come?

Surely I’ll be here alone, letting go another sigh.
