They saved Me

One stands tall and proud. Knowing she has power-- believing in herself. A challenging defiance gleams in her eye and she dares to take on the world. It's no secret that some cannot bring themselves to meet her gaze. Yet, it's funny to me, how she's the one who's hoping like hell that they can't see her shiver.

The other is small in build-- but no weaker in the mind. A kindness emanates from her like a glowing light. She conquers over the struggles that she's faces with every day and she does it with an almost staggering determination. through all of that, you wouldn't expect her to have such troubled eyes...

Both of them have secrets kept hidden and buried deep-- things they wish never to be told. Yet they are the ones who have saved me...

                        My sisters.

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is a poem that is very important to me. I wrote it about two people who are close to my heart and whom I'll love dearly... for always. My Little Love and Battle.
