A year ago today
is when you first said I love you.
But that hour has long since slipped away.
At least at that moment
it was true.
In the month of July
when the days seem long
we only had those few hours
It’s really is amazing how time seems to fly by.
And it’s really amazing how you could make such an impression
in the pages of my life
and leave such a mark
then leave me in the dark.
A year ago today
you showed me what love was
yet love never really is.
It’s amazing how much we’ve grown
...apart.
With a love that was and never is
I should have known.
You’d disappoint me so.
Today would have been our anniversary
I just thought you should know.
