Misty air in the black alleys.
Warm breath seen under green city lights.
Skinny black cats linger after my trail of black smoke
and lick the beaded raindrops off my trench coat.
The stroke of midnight
and the nocturnal break through the hollow earth
and into my misty ally enters the strangest creature ever birthed.
His dripping jet black hair thrown over his face
his tight, black PVC pants with his shoulders hunched over
with eyes fixed on moving the ground beneath him.
He asks coldly if I know where danger is.
A seductive laugh breaks the surface.
Sure I know where danger is.
It’s waiting deep in the city
dressed in all black and
pretty.
Pretty sure it knows what it wants.
Pretty sure it knows how to get it.
With an ice cold stare
and a hypnotic voice
waiting for a victims desire
waiting for the blood
eager for the kill.
Oh yes, I know where danger is.
Now please, your life
if you will.
