What does one see
when they look at me?
Do they have the sight
to glimpse my truth?
Do they watch my
ivory canvass with
chocolate constellations
lead a trail to my heart?
Can they find in my eyes
an infinite sea of hazel
and gold washing upon
the shores of my life?
When all is shown
I am left forsaken to
clutch the burden inside
havening my fragile rose
from the world once again.
