Everything I have learned

Has hurt and left scars that burn

I hate how I feel

Because only hate seems real

I've become so unkind

Almost as if I've lost my mind

I trust to get let down

I ignore it without sound

I played a hard game

Lost, I live with the shame

I threw away

What should be showing today

Everything I have come to learn

Hurts with every new burn

It's only my life to deal

So dark is how I feel
