At the door
Where he stood before
He stood to stare
At his glisening glare
As a tear fell from his eye
He knew it would be hard to say good-bye
Her skin would soffen
Imaging her in a coffin
If he could go back to that night
When they had an outrageous fight
She would still be here
And he would be holding her so near
The door to her room
Where he stood to assume
She was his one and only
And living forever is not just internally
As he lay awake that night alone
Remembering how much love they both had shown
If he could just go back to last night
There would have been no fight
