How could I have deceived myself for so long?
It's so wrong that I allowed you to lie to me
Your problems can be helped
If only you'd admit them.

I wish I had seen it before
However, now I can make a fresh start
The scales have fallen from my eyes
I see now how wrong you are for me
I'm over the pain, the lies, the tears
I'm no longer bitter
I no longer weep
Your memory doesn't haunt me anymore
Your evil ways no longer entice me
Your deceptions have shown themselves to be vile
I'm free from the bondage you had me under
I can start to heal now
