If you needed it, I got it done

I was always first to jump the gun

I was there to fix any issue

Pushed aside my feelings and tissues

If you needed me to be strong

I never led you wrong

How about an extra hand to hold

Or the extra prayers I gave and you were never told

I've always taken the extra mile

It was easier for you and it made me smile

But when it came to me

I was alwasy over exaggerating

I tried to never need as much

I didn't want to be a burden or such

But it seems I have failed at that too

And through all the work I did, I never meant anything to you
