You've been my friend through thick and thin
You've seen my best and worst
All the changes you have seen
For a lot you've been my first
My first, of all, to not give up
No matter how bad my deed
The first person I would go and talk to
When my aching heart's in need
Our troubles that we've faced together
The several times we've split
Just ended up not too much later
Going from anger to opposite
We've severed ties for many things
Some which cloud the mind
But all in all we've something special
A rare treasure hard to find
I'm thankful for the life I lead
That holds you in it's grasp
I'm thankful for the friend you are
And know that it will last
