You know not of the pain
the bolt struck through my heart
my concious decision made my bleed
before I even spoke to you
somewhere deep down inside me
is that clean person I once was
it's a dark path to travel but
i need to turn the light back on
you brought me life with love
but along with that the devil
followed me and took hold
making it hard for me to let go
all my soul and body are searching for
is the freedom they once knew
which i am taking all costs to
change what i have become
maybe you can come with me
to a life without dependance
but time will only tell
where your true heart lies
