SORRY

WHAT DO YOU SAY TO SOMEONE WHO HAS

LOST SOMEONE SO DEAR

WHO IS THROUGH DEATH'S DOOR SO FAR AWAY,

YET SO VERY NEAR

WHO IS REMEMBERED WITH HAPPINESS

AND YET AT THE SAME TIME WITH SADNESS.

WHOSE SMILE AND BEAMING FACE

WAS AS BEAUTIFUL AS THE DAWNING OF THE SUN

WHOSE DEATH IS LIKEN TO

THE SILENCE AFTER THE FIRING OF A GUN

DOES ANYONE REALLY KNOW WHAT TO SAY

SORRY SEEMS TO BE THE ONLY WORD ON SUCH A DAY

Author's Notes/Comments:

another cumulative effort with a dear friend "Jo-Al" ...I had to be reined in so as not to get too deep right D hehe...is there such a thing I wonder??...as always I am unsure but I do know that sometimes sorry doesn't feel like enough!
what a deal!
