A smile that lied

I met a girl her eyes

They wore a smile

But behind those glistening

Smiling eyes

A painful

Tormenting story lies

All her giggles

Her laughs and smiles

Only serve

As a disguise

To what lies beneath

The face of happiness

She lets you see

The tears

She lets you wipe

When she cries

The tears

She lets you dry

Her eyes lie

That wasn’t the real reason why

Her tears dry on her face

Her cheeks

As she slowly

Falls

Asleep

Tears of blood

She weeps

Wounds of salty tears

She bleeds

She commits

Sinners’ deeds

With angelic hands

She witnesses crimes

With celestial eyes

There is a musical beauty

In her prayers

In the sound of this sinners pray

She talks to God

With cherubs lips

Her eyes they hide so much

All I want is for our hearts to touch

What is she scared of?

I'm beginning to hope these lovely poems aren't all about one girl; I'm certain she doesn't appreciate it enough.
