Nature of Life

He loved the smell of morning due.

He loved the sound of rustling autumn leaves.

He loved the snapping of twigs under his feet.

He loved the orange, the read and the yellow of each sunset.

He loved the whistling of the wind.

He loved the noise of children playing.

He loved the sight of people talking.

He loved the way couples walked hand in hand.

He loved the explanation of a mother to her child.

He loved the way people smiled.

And of him ‘they’ wrote.

“Here lies a man who loved loving”

Alas! How little ‘they’ know, how wrong ‘they’ were…

For ‘they’ knew not…

-he liked loving, but would have loved being liked more-

Those who daren’t ask

Aren’t given.

The law of the world.

The Nature of Life.
