I Welcomed you into my home with open arms
I have done everything I could to protect you both from harm.

I have stood by you through the good times and the bad,
I was the one that wiped away you tears, when you were feeling sad.

I took you under my wing and treated you like my own,
I only ever wanted this to be both of your’s second home.

I never wanted to be your mum for that is not my role,
All I wanted was for our family to be whole.

I have tried my best to make you feel, like you both belong
I really do no understand where it all went wrong.

In the time we haven’t seen you it has made me come to see
What special children you both are, and how much you mean to me.

And no matter how far we are apart one thing will never change
You both know that you have a special place in my heart, and that will always remain.
