I wish I could have only the man and not the kinfolk;
Because they really are all quite a joke.
Either they are bitches or losers totally;
With all of them, I disagree.
They're either potheads or they are drunks;
Certainly, none of them are as sin-free as monks.
My man has grown into a better person without them;
In the back of my mind, I will always doubt them.
They are pretty friendly, but they are not good enough for my man;
They do not do the best that they can.
For, I detest everyone who thinks that life is a party;
With them, life is poor, yet hearty.
Than all of them, my man has more education;
And all of them are probably on probation.
But, to love the man, I must accept the family;
Though, to anyone else, I will deny that they are part of his family tree.
my wish
It's true you will have to accept his family.
But you do not have to indulge in their
foolishness. I have a similar situation
they are part of our family but I keep my
distance. nice writing. hbw
