Donna, How are You Doing Today?

Folder:
Poems to Donna

Donna, how are you doing today;
I miss hearing your words; I must say.
I hope that you are looking forward to a great end of the year;
I am, too; but it is today that I fear.
Because I must clean up our messy apartment;
Without help from the social services department.
I guess that I should just start;
From writing poetry for now; I must part.
For, this apartment is a train wreck;
Time to get going now; oh, well; what the heck!

I liked this.

I enjoyed the simple rhyme-scheme and how conversational the whole thing feels. It flows well, like a good conversation or personal message should. Thanks for the read!
