What Can You Do?

Folder:
Children's Poetry

What can you do when it's raining outside;
You can stay indoors, and seek and hide.

What can you do when it plops outdoors;
You can play games inside, while it showers and pours.

What can you do after drops fall from up high;
You can see if there's a rainbow in the sky.

What can you do when there is a storm;
You can stay cozy in your home where it is warm.

What can you do when there are showers;
You can look out your window at pretty flowers.

What can you do when the outdoors are wet;
You can sit in your room and cuddle your pet.

What can you do when raindrops tap and tap;
You can get under the covers and take a nap.

What can you do when the rain will rap and rap;
You can camp in a tent and close the flap.

What can you do when a cloud drops and drips;
You can stand on your carpet and do flips.

What can you do when the power goes out;
Forget the TV and find what imagination is about.

What can you do when there is lightening;
You can read stories that aren't frightening.

What can you do when you hear thunder;
You can tell riddles that will make your family wonder.

Your riddle may go like this at recess;
"What did the queen say to the princess?"

"Don't forget to brush and rinse,
Before the moment when you kiss the frog prince!"

What can youdo when you are bored;
Use your imagination; it's something you can always afford!
