You can find me
Beneath the underbrush
That used to be the face of a man
In the empty arms
Of he who once had
Held the world in the palm of his hands
Behind the eyes
That have slowly blurred
The lines of passion and pain
In the scars that
Have tainted the minds
Which have lived and loved in vain.
I have been
Bound and beaten
Broken by the lost embraces
Of hearts of gold
And embers alighting
The forever smiling faces
That are now
Buried deep inside
The shadows of my memory
But linger on my tongue
And fire bullets down my throat
In bitter agony charging like cavalry
Exploding with flavors
That tickle the forbidden fancies
Held dearly by my ever growing appetite
As my hunger for you
Cannot be buried in your tomb
But dances before me in plain sight.
You can find me
Nestled sweetly between
The blankets of Heaven and Hearth
Gazing at stars that I
Myself had once ridden
Freely among the gracious hearts
That have
Seen me fall
From the highest graces
Peering through their
Silver frames with loving eyes
Upon their taunting silver faces.
Yet I have fallen
Faster than the bullet that has
Ripped the vigor from my chest
As I long for the
Heavenly embrace that
Flows from your ever living breast.
