Lost in the Music

Folder:
Abstract Fantasies

After a long, strenous day enduring hectic city life,

he walks in his room and inserts his favorite mix

  CD into the stereo.

Immediately, the mood is set and his creative notions

     begin to take charge.

Creeping out of the sound system like

a silent predator, the melodies of the music

                   flow into his ears,

                   through his ear canal,

and finally reaching the prized possession

                      of his mind.

Pouncing his mind, the silent predator attacks his

psyche and ensnarls it into its gaping jaw.

Chewing, the silent predator purges his

mind of all the tumors of distress,

                          migranes of desecration,

                      and convulsions of sorrow.

With the renewal of consciousness set in stone,

he is now able to become lost in the music.

Enraptured in the euphony of song,

he is transported out of the known world

and splurged into a vast ocean.

     With a great splash,

he dives into the deep blue of the glossy ocean.

Instantly, he is greeted with the soothing warmth of

the ocean and swims deeper into the abyss.

200ft - he is enthralled with the elated oceanic

               pressure of the music.

500ft - he is overwhelmed by the aquatic profoundness

               of the music.

1000ft - he is engrossed in the marine profusion of the

               music.

5000ft - he is suddenly captured by the awesome ecstacy

of the music bridging the gap between his

               mind, body, and soul.

The excitement of this event is so powerful, that he

                      begins to drown in -

He is thrown back into reality with the repetitive

annoyance of the mix CD skipping in the stereo.

   Stopping the flow of music,

he is once again in the state of mind he was drenched

in upon his arrival to his room.

Drifting in curiousity, he wants to probe deeper into

the ocean;

realizing he will have to drown the remedial natural

     and crossover into the supernatural.

Dusting the mix CD off, he again inserts it into the stereo.

             Pressing the PLAY button,

he becomes Lost in the Music.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I love music. I love the power of music and how when each tune is played, the entire world around me disappears and I am transported into my own world of complete understanding.
