Everybody Else Could See

the men in my life He walked into her life one day,
As the pastor started talking,
A familiar face she had not remembered.
It'd been a while since she'd seen a guy
And fell in love so soon.
What did she have to do to let him know how much she missed him
She wanted to talk to him,
But just couldn't so it.
He cared for her so much,
But could never tell anybody.
He just couldn't express his feelings for her.
He wanted to be able to love her as more than just a friend.
He wouldn't tell anyone what he felt,
He just kept it all in writing.
He wrote poems about how much he loved her.
On the day of his graduation,
He had some of his poems read out loud.
As she sat there she had a line from one of his poems,
It repeated over and over in her mind.
"I'll love her and she'll always be in my heart until the day I die."
Everybody talked about her and him together.
She knew she should tell him that she loved him too.
Somehow, she just couldn't bring herself to saying it.
When he went away to college,
It was only then when she realized how much she truely loved him.
