I'm standing in the door way,
you don't see me.
The bathroom is foggy and steamy,
not from anything we did.
You squeak a hole in the foggy mirror
and analyse your face.
Brushing your wet hair in to
railway tracks down to your nape,
your pecs are tightening as you
brush; and you notice them suddenly you
stop just to tweak and admire them.
Now the arms flexing, the shaver comes out,
the cologne... Plucking nose hair...
I stare and roll my eyes...
What the fuck for wanker?
You see, I'm not going anywhere,
he's going to work
dressed like Tom Fuck.
We went out for coffee yesterday,
you just pulled on old jeans and red shirt.
Some unlucky piece of ass got you
tied up in knots.
You didnt take your sunglasses off once...
I looked across the street where Fernando stood in the doorway of a book shop.
Waiting for an excuse to rummage through old books with him behind me
brushing his pocket full of "happy to see me" across my ass.
I smile,"Hey! There's a new book out, 50 Shades of Grey...
I think I might check it out, you stay.
Call me when the coffee is here okay?"
"Dumb fuck!" I mutter as I walk through the doorway...
