In my dreams I see you here

But when I wake you’re never there

You’re in my thoughts and in my mind

But in my life I’ll never find you here

I held you close next to me

But only in my dreams you’ll be



        When I dream I feel you near

        And when you’re close I have no fear

        You’re in my arms the whole night long

        But when I wake you’re always gone away



I wish my dream would be true

So I could be here next to you

When I wake you’re not with me

In my mind you’ll always be

And in my life I hope to find

Someone half as kind as you
