Someone told me that fear causes an obsession
And you never know all the things you fear until you have a confession
To understand what it is that's been bothering you
And to know why you do what you do.
If you understood the root of all your reactions,
Don't you think that you'd have better control over your actions?
Sometimes we know the answers that we choose to reject.
Often there's not enough time to reflect.
So we stay in the same place
And maybe some things we'll rearrange
But other than that we never change.
Sometimes fear can prevent us from living
And we sacrifice so much when fear is not at all giving.
It just takes and takes
And we work like slaves and take no breaks.
Fear takes over and we allow that fear to grow
And we hold on to things and refuse to let go,
Not giving and not living.
We hold on so tightly that we have an obsession
And ultimately when we can't achieve those worldy things, fear leads to depression.
Maybe it's time to have a confession.
