A Portrait worth Studying
I know it’s kind of crazy but I take notes like I’m in a session,
I think I have an obsession,
But you’re a prize portrait.
Every day I wait patiently for the next lesson.
I take a couple of seconds to admire the frame,
And you need no shame,
Cause you a masterpiece made,
And if it were up to me you’d have cameras and fame.
I look at the picture and I see faint lines,
I study the imagery to find
Passion and beauty in its possession,
And this portrait increases value in time.
I need to make it mine.
I see a hidden story untold,
Hidden by deep colours so bold,
I need to, I want to fade in and watch
The story unfold.
If only I could have it
I would treat it like gold.
