Enduring this life without you here
Loveless loves, a nights goodnight
No sweet songs, nothing in heart
Avoiding pains of another goodbye

Butterflies you gave still flutter for you
Dripping tears from tips of their wings
And kisses I can't scrape from my lips
Still linger on all that they touch

I damn these vile emotions and dreams
That bring their words back to my pen
With memories that forbid me to feel
For fear of another death on lonely paper
