A glimmer of light piercing the darkness
Drawn closer and there you are
Silent and ever so peaceful
To stand over you and gaze upon such beauty
No mortal should be so blessed
Awaken such a splendor would be a sin
My hand runs through her hair and caresses her cheek
To compare her skin to silk would do no justice
She stirs for a moment but returns to escape
Her lips form the smallest of smiles
Carried away to a safer place
All her worldly troubles gone
My head rests against her shoulder
The warmth of her breath dances over me
Faint sounds of her heart
Startled by a ringing all around
Paralyzed with confusion
Hello? Hello?
I know it was her
Come back. Don’t go
Wide awake and unsure
I feel her thoughts, her needs
We reach out to each other
Forgetting the distance
Our souls linked
Minds think as one
We fill mutual needs
I close my eyes to find that place
Blissful slumber returns
Will I find my angel again?
