In your breath of darkness
Who's romance, in imagination slept naked above streets of blood
Under familiar candlelight, the moon
And waited for groaning visions thrown against walls, to create secret stanzas in the yellow hours of lonesome time
Unfinished, jumped out the window
To find hopeless hearts sing on their knees in subconscious cathedrals
Mourning for their minds
Or demanding insanity and hung in the madhouse
Left with their fingers to shape echoes along cold pages of twisted words
Empty in reality but endless in hallucination
Shame, shivering, shock-wave of rhythm shaken awake by the screaming alarm clock
Too soon taken from skin
To trace faces in snow
With the echoes you play who's who
When all you had was all the world to watch
